Plastic-Puglia presents AquaPress®, a dripline with a flat dripper, suitable for installations on uneven fields or for subsurface irrigation, the technique that directs water and nutrients directly to the roots through the installation of an underground dripline. As a matter of fact, with subsurface irrigation there is no water wastage caused by evaporation or wind drift. The fertilizers are distributed directly to the roots, significantly reducing the impact on the environment. Moreover, there is a reduced risk of fungal diseases and weeds because of the reduced humidity.
The AquaPress® has the following features: “pressure compensating” (PC), guaranteeing a constant flow rate at different working pressures (from 0.55 bar to 3.50 bar); “anti-syphon” (AS), with subsurface systems, this prevents soil particles from being sucked into the dripper outlet; “anti-drainage”, preventing the line from emptying out at shutdown; the drippers close when the pressure drops below 0.25 bar and they all start supplying the same amount of water when restarting, thus ensuring uniformity in pulse irrigation. The AquaPress® is manufactured in two diameters: 16 and 20 mm, and different thicknesses - from 0.6 to 1.1 - and flow rates – 1.5/2.4/3.8 l/h – spacing from 20 cm upwards.
