The new Rain solar panel can be easily connected to all Rain Rechargeable controller and to the Rainolve product family and recharge the lithium batteries in the Rain controllers, providing the user with numerous advantages to the environment: making the controller independent of the power supply, giving maximum installation flexibility even in remote locations. Allowing a reduction in maintenance time: thanks to the use of lithium batteries it is no longer necessary to periodically replace alkaline batteries. Less environmental impact by eliminating the production of hazardous waste such as exhausted batteries that are harmful to nature and man. From studies carried out in the recent past it emerged that a large quantity of batteries not totally depleted is thrown away; this situation also involves the world of battery-powered irrigation systems. From these studies it emerged that, simply in Italy, the batteries are thrown away with still 41% of charge inside them. Considering that in Italy almost 450,000,000 waste batteries are generated per year, the residual energy could feed 20,000 120CV cars for an hour.
