Elydan, the specialist in polyethylene products, has enhanced its Green100 offer for use in the irrigation and watering of green spaces. This is a development that has been made possible by selecting a more effective polyethylene, the PE100-RC, instead of the PE100.
This new generation of piping is recognised for its excellent resistance to slow cracking and it can be installed in open trenches where the extracted earth and gravel is reused as backfill. This type of installation results in a considerable saving in terms of filler material and there is a significant reduction on the time required to lay the pipe compared to more conventional methods. There is less environmental impact at the sites as there is less need for movement of lorries (trucks).
Thus, the Green100 strengthens its position at the top of the range by becoming the only NF-accredited polyethylene pipe on the market, used for irrigation, which can be laid without requiring a bed of sand. Manufactured in France and available in sizes up to DN160, it is long-lasting with a minimum life span of 100 years and it is particularly recommended for intensive network uses, or for applications that require excellent durability: racecourses, golf courses, infrastructures…
