Irriforce is bringing a new understanding to the concept of a self-propelled traveller irrigation
Irriforce brings a new understanding to the concept of a self-propelled travelling gun irrigation system. Irriforce is a travelling gun with a flexible hose and driven by a hydraulically powered turbine and a steel cable winch system. Its compact design means that it can be towed by small tractors or ATVs and the Midi can be easily moved, if necessary, by one person. Both versions belong to a new generation of self-propelled travelling guns. The Irriforce, which is small-sized and very easy to manage, can irrigate strips of 200 to 400 m in length in 1 application, using less energy. It can irrigate 400-meter stretches with a 200-meter hose, so a smaller hose diameter can be used. Therefore, by using a shorter flexible hose with a smaller diameter, there is 1⁄3 to 1⁄4 less drag than with other types of hose. Less weight means less energy losses and a longer life for the machine. As these travellers use less energy, it is possible irrigate the same area as a hose reel that is 2-3 times larger.
