HybriDisc upgrade – Rivulis F7250 Automatic Disc Filters

The design of discs in disc filters has remained relatively the same over the past 30 years. The principal has remained that the discs use a groove design. These discs are stacked, and during operation, the majority of the debris is caught on the outside of the discs. The new HybriDisc, which is available in Rivulis F7250 Automatic Disc Filters, uses a revolutionary new disc design. The HybriDisc technology turns the traditional design upside down, or it may be better to say, inside out. With completely new disc engineering that does away with the traditional groove design, the HybriDisc has a unique flow-path on one side of the disc, and is smooth on the other side. This causes the water to pass via flow-tracks, where the debris accumulates from the inside of the disc to the outside of the disc. Because the debris accumulates from the inside out, the effective filtration volume and dirt holding capacity are far higher – 60% higher than the existing disc design. This provides numerous operational benefits, including 25% higher flow rate per filtration element, fewer back-flushes, and lower initial pressure differential. Rivulis F7250 Automatic Disc Filters with the unique HybriDisc upgrade are available for pre-order for 130 micron models.
