The long-standing managing partners, brothers Arno, Viktor and Hugo Drechsel, who have transformed Komet into a global market leader, have handed over the reins to a new management team. As of 1 January 2025, Sacha Hoffmann and Andree Groos have taken over the joint management of Komet Austria GmbH. The Drechsel brothers will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity as members of the Advisory Board.
Komet has strengthened its position as a leader in sustainable irrigation solutions, experiencing consistent growth driven by its commitment to water and energy efficiency, product innovation and strong market demand. This success reflects the global shift towards sustainable agricultural practices and the increasing need for efficient water management solutions.
Sacha Hoffmann, Managing Director since 2024, will oversee operations, finance, human resources and administration. CEO Andree Groos, with more than 20 years of international leadership experience, will lead product development, sales and marketing.

Global expansion: Focus on Brazil and key markets Komet continues to expand its global footprint, focusing on key agricultural markets including the US, Brazil and Eurasia. In Brazil, one of the world's largest agricultural producers, Komet is expanding its presence with a dedicated team of irrigation experts who work closely with local distributors and farmers to provide highly efficient irrigation solutions tailored to regional needs. In addition to investing in its team, Komet is also expanding its local testing and laboratory capabilities to further enhance its solutions for the Brazilian market.
In North America, Komet has invested in a new warehouse in Fremont, Nebraska to meet growing demand. In addition, new irrigation experts have joined the team, reinforcing Komet's commitment to service and market expansion.
In Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, Komet is strengthening its presence by recruiting local experts to work with partners on innovative irrigation solutions.
Komet remains committed to long-term growth through strategic investment, innovation and expansion into new markets. Its collaboration with Trill Impact since 2022 has strengthened the company's ability to scale its operations and professionalise its global business structure.
