Lite-Soil introduces its underground irrigation system BLUELITE-NET

Developed in Vienna, the patented BLUELITE-NET technology directly supplies water to the roots of lawns and green spaces, limiting evaporation during periods of extreme heat.

Faced with persistent heat waves and increasingly severe droughts, water resource management has become a major challenge for local governments and landscaping professionals. The Austrian company Lite-Soil GmbH offers a practical solution with its patented BLUELITE-NET irrigation system, designed to reduce water requirements by 70% compared to traditional surface irrigation methods.

Unlike conventional sprinklers, where a significant portion of the water evaporates before reaching the ground due to high temperatures, the system delivers water directly underground to the root zone. This technical mesh distributes moisture evenly, helping lawns, green roofs, and urban green spaces withstand water stress.

The days when water was available in unlimited quantities are over. We need solutions that manage every resource responsibly. BLUELITE-NET represents a major step forward toward sustainable irrigation that meets the actual needs of plants,” explains Dorothea Sulzbacher, CEO of Lite-Soil.

The system also helps prevent surface matting and ensures targeted irrigation, thereby preserving plant health while delivering substantial water savings. Already proven on an international scale—from Europe to the United States, including Israel and Saudi Arabia—the system is designed for local governments as well as landscapers and managers of sports or agricultural facilities.
