Explore new technology
The Irrigation Show brings you all of the latest products and technologies in the industry under one roof. The trade show floor provides the unique opportunity to see these products firsthand and get your questions answered in person by knowledgeable representatives. The new product contest showcases the best new products and technologies to hit the market in the last year. This popular annual event has a new twist this year. Following the success of last year’s virtual contest, the 2021 contest will be a hybrid event — including both virtual and live portions. All products accepted into the contest will be featured online in a special product showcase section on the IA website. Anyone interested in checking out these innovative new products will have ample opportunity to browse the product pages online beginning Sept. 21. Judging will also take place virtually, during the week of Nov. 15-19. These live digital presentations will be open to the public free of charge. All products will also be on display in the popular new product contest area on the show floor at the Irrigation Show. The winners will be announced live on the show floor on Dec. 9.
A glimpse of the future
This year’s show floor will offer an opportunity to look into the future of irrigation technology. The new Innovation Row will feature exhibits from startup irrigation technology companies interested in promoting their new technologies and ideas. These companies will take the stage in a Pitch Competition offering an opportunity for attendees to learn more about their technology. The new Innovation Hub area will be a central point of activity on the show floor. This area will host the Pitch Competition, as well as product demos, spotlight sessions and the new product contest winner announcement.
Bonus in 2021
Approximately every 10 years, the Irrigation Association and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers jointly host the Decennial National Irrigation Symposium. This event was originally planned for the 2020 Irrigation Show, but it was postponed and will be held in conjunction with the 2021 Irrigation Show. This event draws irrigation experts from all over the world to present their research on a wide range of agricultural irrigation topics.
IA University
Following a year of virtual learning, in-person IA University classes return the show. These courses consist of core curriculum for fundamental skill sets. The classes are offered every year to ensure you have the foundational and practical skills necessary to design, install or maintain an irrigation system, as well as the business skills to manage a small irrigation company. These classes require an additional fee and preregistration is encouraged to ensure a seat.
Focus on safety
The IA is committed to making every effort to keep our participants safe during the show. We are monitoring both national and local guidelines to ensure that we are following the necessary practices to ensure a positive and healthy experience. Please check the Irrigation Show website regularly, as the webpage containing the latest COVID-19 guidelines is updated as necessary related to the possible impact of COVID-19 on the Irrigation Show.
