The EIA hold a conference on water management in green cities on December 3rd, in Paysalia (Lyon)

On Wednesday 3 December at 11:00 am on the ground floor of the Paysalia exhibition, the EIA hold a conference on water management in green cities. The main topic of the conference was : ‘Optimising irrigation in urban areas: examples from Sabadell and Paris’.

The conference, held in French, took place on December 3, 2025, in person. Many French and European attendees attended the conference in the “Agora” area of the Paysalia trade show. 

Speakers and conference content:

Eric Porcher, head of the automatic watering workshop at Paris City Hall: “Irrigating Paris's new urban forests in a very challenging environment: the contribution of connected watering, detailed monitoring, and efficient water use.”

Joan Güell, head of parks and gardens at Sabadell City Hall from 2017 to 2025 and current head of the city's green belt: “Irrigating urban landscapes in drought conditions: smart management of treated wastewater reuse.”

Bruno Molle (Executive Advisor to the EIA) and Michael Fayaud (CEO of Urbasense): “Irrigation efficiency in urban landscapes: definition and discussion of performance criteria.”

Those present were very interested and stayed for the entire conference. After the conference, they were able to ask questions of the speakers.
