This quarterly event brings together professionals from across Europe to exchange ideas, discover new solutions, and discuss the future of irrigation and water management in Europe. Participation is free and open to all.

This edition opens with Monika Zovko (University of Zagreb), who will present “Perspectives and Current State of Irrigation in Croatia – with Case Study.” Her talk will provide a clear overview of irrigation development in Croatia, with practical insights from research and real-world experience, pointing to future directions for sustainable irrigation”.

The Innovation & Technology session features Thomas Hanss, CEO of Villes Vivantes (Living Cities), with a thought-provoking presentation: “Unpopular Opinion: Densifying Cities to Make Them Greener, More Resilient, and Resource-Efficient.” He will explain why smart building before planting is key to climate adaptation in cities, how greenery can thrive while reducing water use, and why gardeners are essential in shaping the green heritage of our urban landscapes.

The forum is held in English and offers not just expert talks, but also the chance to connect and exchange with colleagues from across the irrigation and sustainability community.
