2017 was a busy year for Synaa with some projects being completed while others were just starting.
After its success in 2016, the Expert’O training programme is due to continue in January 2018 at the Techoma site in Jouy en Josas. The whole itinerary of the programme can be found on the Synaa site www.arrosage-synaa.com under the tab formation (training). There have been even more ‘irrigation specialist’ certificates issued this year, with this twelve-month apprenticeship providing a pool of professionals for the future of our profession. The work currently in progress with the FFF (French Football Federation) and the drawing up of the terms and conditions will allow the end client to assess and impose specific criteria for his or her installation. The aim of this is to improve the quality of the pitches in France because irrigation is an essential component of this process.
Only 17% of the water resource is used in France. So that’s good news because there will be no water shortage… There is a role for irrigation in lowering the temperature in the city; an irrigated green space can reduce the temperature by 3°C during hot periods.
The sustainability and healthy development of the plants is increased with irrigation, which is beneficial not only for our well-being but also for the economy. That’s super good news!
Automatic irrigation reduces run-off and soil erosion, it absorbs CO2, reduces water consumption, improves the quality of the playing surface on sports fields, lowers labour costs, optimises investment. That is excellent news ! This will be the subject of a conference open to the public during the Paysalia show in Lyons on 6th December at 11
:00 am, held in the show’s forum area. The subject will be “The ecological impact of automatic irrigation”. Experts specialising in the climate and irrigation will provide those
attending with an opportunity to share their experiences. A certain way to enhance our knowledge!
The Paysalia show held from 05 to 07 December 2017 is an event that takes place on odd-numbered years with the ‘irrigation village’ being even larger, attracting 30% more exhibitors. Synaa, the show’s official partner since its very beginning, will have its own stand, ready to welcome you right in the heart of the village. Synaa’s general assembly will take place during the afternoon of the 5th December. The day will end in the normal convivial atmosphere of warmth and friendliness that characterises our profession
