Furthermore, Paysalia attracted 24,096 visitors, representing an increase of 45% compared with the previous event. All of the professionals, suppliers, representatives from local authorities, decision-makers and people with influence in the field of landscaping, gardens and sports fields were invited to share their views on the challenges facing the sector and present their latest new products.
The Irrigation village, organised in partnership with SYNAA, and the Irrigation section of the show, brought together exhibitors who presented a preview of their new products and solutions that meet the irrigation needs of private or public institutions, gardeners or landscape architects. The exhibitors included the main manufacturers present in the French parks and gardens market: Toro, Rain Bird, Hunter, Netafim…
During the three-day period, the participants were able to attend meetings, conferences and events relating to issues considered as high-priority for the landscaping sector. The main debates touched upon, among others, the development of biodiversity, landscaping and urban design and changes in methods used. In the field of irrigation, we were able to be part of a very interesting round table event entitled: « Drought: an opportunity or a threat for irrigation? », organised jointly by Synaa and the EIA, following Synaa’s general assembly. This conference, co-hosted by Bruno Molle (IRSTEA), Santiago Casanella (Hunter) and Thierry Haller (Rain Bird), demonstrated that the competitors are able to get together and try and find joint responses to the challenges facing our industry over the coming years.
Conscious of its profile of targeting a professional public, the show offered a programme, which was full of innovative ideas, including the Paysalia Innovations area and the Paysalia Trophies Awards ceremony. Organised by Unep (National Association of Landscaping Contractors), the Paysalia Trophies Awards recognise products or services that represent technical or aesthetic innovation or a step towards achieving sustainable development.
