Fima was held from 20th to 24th February 2018 at the Zaragoza Exhibition Centre, in Spain. This year, for the fortieth anniversary of the event, His Majesty King Felipe VI attended in person to inaugurate the show on its opening day. The fact that 1,572 manufacturers participated in the event confirmed the status of FIMA - 40 as a major European agricultural trade fair. Among the 1,572 brand names, 683 were Spanish and 889 were overseas companies (i.e. 57% of the total), with exhibitors from Italy, France, Germany, America and Japan having a significant presence.

Over these five days, the Zaragoza show became the central hub of the European agricultural market, with record-breaking attendances. The peak attendance was reached on 22nd February, when there were no less than 71,000 visitors. They decided to come to FIMA in order to catch up on the latest developments in agricultural equipment and solutions. Apart from the record numbers, FIMA welcomed more visitors from abroad: up to 72 nationalities rubbed shoulders during the 5 days of the event, with a notable presence of visitors from North Africa, Europe and Asia.
