Regarding the improvements, the drippers have become more and more resistant to clogging, with a greater range of flow rates available; the pivots’ flow rate and angle of distribution are adapted to the actual wind speed; the nozzles have been designed to reduce water consumption and the latest controllers bring a whole host of possibilities.
However, the most exciting innovation is the remote control achieved by using the “Blue Tooth” or “Wi-Fi” techniques, which allows for a connection to be made via smartphone, tablet or a computer with internet access. This « revolution » opens the way for an “intelligent” use of irrigation. We will soon be able to enjoy a “smart garden” and arrive at our « interconnected » house where a robot will be waiting to bring us our slippers while the car will park itself in the garage.
