The EIMA trade fair was held from 9th to 13th November of this year in Bologna (Italy)

The number of visitors reached 285,000 over the six days of the show, i.e. an increase of 21% compared to the 2014 event, inclu­ding 44,000 representatives of foreign companies (18% more than 2014). This major trade fair – organised by the Italian Federation of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers / FederUnacoma (Confe­deration of Italian Industry / Confindustria) generated a significant number of business contacts, with the many visitors able to view a wide range of technologies presented by 1,900 exhibitors in the trade fair’s exhibition halls.

This major trade fair – organised by the Italian Federation of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers / FederUnacoma (Confe­deration of Italian Industry / Confindustria) generated a significant number of business contacts, with the many visitors able to view a wide range of technologies presented by 1,900 exhibitors in the trade fair’s exhibition halls. It has also become a festival for the agricultural and industrial sectors. Hundreds of journalists, from all over the world have reported this event live, while the public have been able to follow the proceedings on EIMA Web TV, which broadcasted more than 40 live reports and 8 live streamings. The Italian and overseas visitors alike showed a wide range of interest across the whole spectrum of sectors at the Expo: from tractors to component parts, irrigation and gardening and biotechnologies, represented by an “Energy” section and also structured to provide information about the sound practices adopted for the technologies used in the recycling of agricultural residues and production waste as sources of renewable energy.

 

From the point of view of the irrigation professionals, the show has been a resounding success. The different constructors increased their contacts and many clients visited their stands. And there were plenty of new products on display: Bauer presented the Smart Touch, an innovative addition for the CenterStar. NaandanJain, as part of its “Crop Care Solution” series, exhibited a static foliar application system. The company Rain spa has Fliwer, a smart control system for monitoring the plants. The American company K-Rain presented the Pro EX 2.0 Wi-Fi controller, which offers excellent performances and facilitates the operation of the Pro EX 2.0 with the possibility of remote control by smartphone, tablet or web browser. And finally, the Israeli company Metzerplas has updated its corporate identity with the introduction of a new “Metzer” logo.
