IRRIFRANCE Group has completed the acquisition of France Pivots with the support of Unigrains

IRRIFRANCE Group, a French family-owned company specializing in the manufacture of agricultural irrigation equipment, announces the acquisition in early 2026 of France Pivots, a manufacturer and installer of agricultural pivot systems that was part of the Chagneau Group. Through this transaction, IRRIFRANCE consolidates its leading position in France and reaffirms its ambition to become a key player in Europe

Founded in 1963, IRRIFRANCE Group designs, develops, and manufactures a comprehensive range of agricultural irrigation solutions: reel irrigation systems, center-pivot systems, boom systems, full-coverage irrigation, and localized irrigation. IRRIFRANCE Group enjoys a premium market position—Made in France—thanks to its complete control over its production chain and its 14-hectare manufacturing facility in Occitanie. Its equipment is distributed through a network of long-standing distributor partners. The availability and quality of spare parts, its after-sales service, and its strong capacity for innovation (such as the boom-reel and REUSE irrigation systems) make IRRIFRANCE Group a safe bet and a sustainable investment for its customers.

Strong Synergy with France Pivots

The merger with France Pivots is based on the complementary nature of the two companies, building on their respective strengths while preserving the unique identity of each brand:

•    Products: through the combination of two industry leaders—reel systems for IRRIFRANCE and center-pivot systems for France Pivots

•    Distribution: by combining their distinct networks

•    Geography: ensuring better coverage of France and growth prospects abroad

•    Innovation: integration of tensiometry solutions developed by Challenge Agriculture, a subsidiary of France Pivots.

The consolidation of offerings and expertise is leading to the emergence of a national leader with over 40% market share. Under the leadership of Noumane Aïdi, Chairman, and Alexandre Aïdi, CEO, and with a workforce of 140 employees and more than €40 million in revenue, the new entity will now compete with international players across the entire spectrum of irrigation technologies.

Unigrains Acquires a Stake in IRRIFRANCE

As part of this growth-oriented acquisition, IRRIFRANCE Group is opening its capital to Unigrains, an investment firm specializing in the agri-food sector, as a minority shareholder alongside existing shareholders.

Unigrains will provide its industry expertise to support the IRRIFRANCE Group’s development in its numerous projects, such as the rollout of export initiatives in Northern and Eastern Europe and the integration of new technologies to optimize the efficiency of crop water supply.

Unigrains will also support IRRIFRANCE Groupe in exploring future opportunities for external growth both in France and abroad.

Noumane Aïdi, Chairman, and Alexandre Aïdi, CEO, of IRRIFRANCE Groupe, stated: “The acquisition of France Pivots is a strategic and transformative move that strengthens our expertise and accelerates our growth. We are pleased to embark on this new phase with the support of Unigrains, a financial and strategic partner that is an expert in our sector and fully shares our vision of the agricultural challenges ahead.”

Virginie Boutrouille, Director of Investments at Unigrains, states: “The complementary nature of IRRIFRANCE and France Pivots makes it possible to build a French leader in irrigation.  At the heart of today’s agroecological issues and addressing farmers’ challenges in securing their harvests and incomes, our support for IRRIFRANCE aligns perfectly with Unigrains’ mission to develop high-value-added solutions for the agri-food sector.”
